Background
As a part of SCM's
R&D efforts, a data server was designed to serve realtime and
historical data to their team. The server was designed to be fast and
reliable while capturing data from multiple sources around the world.
It is co-located on the internet backbone here in Perth, Western
Australia, and
has the capacity to serve hundreds more subscribers.
FXCM's realtime
forex prices
Through our relationship with FXCM,
we were given direct access to
their forex price feed. This is a unique and clean source of realtime
data that is as timely as the FXCM Trading
Station. The price ticks represent the prices FXCM are
quoting for their normal 100k accounts. FXCM have recently
allowed us to redistribute their price
feed to a small number of their clients.
dataHQ Realtime Adapter
To deliver the price data from our server and into their trading
software, the dataHQ Realtime Adapter was created. The adapter
has been designed for Wealthlab
Developer 3.0 (WLD). WLD
is a trading
system development environment that doesn't provide any
forex data. The dataHQ Realtime Adapter plugs into WLD and delivers
both historical and realtime forex data.
